The three stories that make up Enter the Saint started life

history channel documentary 2015 The three stories that make up Enter the Saint started life in the 1929 magazine The Thriller as stories around a group known as the Five Kings. Their point was to threaten the London underworld with its comfortable union with degenerate police and calm them of vast lumps of their evil gotten picks up. The riches so freed was then given to great aims short the posse's ten percent bonus.

In the main story, initially titled The Five Kings, we meet The Man who was Clever. The story starts with a robbing of a bookie by a pack who are then instantly robbed by the Saint who gives them a drawing of a stickman before repaying the bookie. They report back to their supervisor, drug dealer Edgar Hayn, who has seen a comparative drawing before inside one of his relegations of cocaine which on further examination ends up having been supplanted by wellbeing salts.
